The nonprofit utilization of digital resources of ancient books is a systematic project;representing strategic imperatives in the new era of ancient bookwork in China.This article employs semi-structured interviews and grounded theory to conduct research and analysis on domestic professionals,extracting eight key elements that influence the nonprofit utilization of China's ancient book digital resources,including database resources,digital platforms,staff,institutional management,users,technology,funding,and macro environment.Using online surveys and case study methods,the article explores exemplary international cases,deriving four aspects of referential value:providing a unified platform,enriching public activities,encouraging public participation,and leveraging technology for empowerment.Integrating domestic and international research results,the article,focusing on key elements within the Chinese context and supplemented by international experiences,discusses strategies for advancing the nonprofit utilization of ancient book digital resources in China from the perspectives of the government,collection institutions,and users,aiming to converge multi-party efforts and provide some references for systematically enhancing the efficiency of China's ancient book digital services.
