Exploring the influencing factors of help-seeking avoidance behaviors of college library users can better provide beneficial references for improving the library reference service and help college students improve their learning efficiency.Based on a case study of a typical local university library,a mixed research method combining grounded theory and quantitative analysis method is adopted.ROSTCM6,SPSS23.0 and NVivo12 software are used to analyze the influencing factors.Three main influencing factors are obtained, including college students ability, college student psychology and university library service. The differences of help-seeking avoidance behaviors among college students of different genders and grades are also found.Based on self-determination theory,an influencing factor model of college library users'help-seeking avoidance behaviors is constructed. Finally, some suggestions are put forward to stimulate the help-seeking behaviors of college library users from three aspects:promoting roving reference service, optimizing the content of library entry education for freshmen, and refining literacy training of librarian service.
