Over the years,numerous stakeholders in the UK have promoted the inclusion of a large number of elderly people into the digital society through digital champion work.Based on network and literature research,this article provides an overview of the origins and typical types of digital champions in the UK.It explores the current status and characteristics of digital champions in promoting the digital inclusion of the elderly in the UK.On this basis,taking into account the policy requirements in China,it is proposed that public libraries should work together with local stakeholders to establish communities as the basic unit of grassroots governance.Through four measures,a digital champion service ecosystem should be created to promote the digital inclusion of the elderly.
