The article conducted field research on 1 127 children and 56 parents in rural areas of northern Hunan from the aspects of basic information of the samples,digital reading needs,digital reading behavior,and utilization of digital reading platforms of libraries.SPSS software was used to conduct differential analysis on variables related to digital reading for rural children.Independent sample t-test,correlation analysis,and cross statistical analysis methods were used in SPSS to obtain the varying degrees of impact of relevant variables on children's digital reading,revealing the current situation and problems of digital reading for rural children.Finally,countermeasures for primary-level libraries to serve children's digital reading in the context of rural revitalization were proposed:strengthening the positive promotion and guidance of rural children's digital reading services building digital reading resources and services that meet the needs of rural children improving the digital literacy of rural children and parents.
