Ideological and political education of information literacy courses in colleges and universities is a necessary move to implement the fundamental task of cultivating people with virtue and promoting the cultivation of talents in colleges and universities.Through literature investigation,the current situation and existing problems ofinformation literacy courses on ideological and political dimension in Chinese universities are analyzed.Taking the reform of information literacy courses on ideological and political dimension in the Library of Xiangtan University as an example,a framework for the reform of curriculum on ideological and political dimension is constructed from four aspects:objective design,teaching content,teaching method and teaching evaluation.SPSS is used to analyze the teaching effect of information literacy courses on ideological and political dimension.It is found that integrating ideological and political elements into every link of information literacy education is helpful to improve students'information literacy and ideological and political level,achieve good educational outcomes,and provide reference for the teaching reform practice of information literacy courses on ideological and political dimension.
