The Memory Room Project of Newcastle Library has a mature activity model,clear target users and remarkable results,and its research can be a reference for the dementia community services in China's public libraries.The article investigates and analyzes the background and objectives,service content,publicity and promotion,and service guarantee of the Memory Room Project.This article summarizes the practical experience from both project characteristics and problems,and discusses the implications for China:optimizing the service system and implementing the main responsibilities,focusing on key populations and highlighting special services,establishing regular co-operation and realizing complementarity of strengths,improving the assessment system and promoting iterative upgrading.
