Nowadays,China has entered a new stage of deep integration of culture and tourism.The integration of public cultural services and tourism has become an important way to promote the high-quality development of tourism economy.A blueprint for the integration is the National Public Cultural Service System Demonstration Area(NPCSSDA).A multi-period difference-in-differences model is used to study the impact of the establishment of the NPCSSDA on the development of tourism economy.Through classification research,it explores the inter group differences in the effect,identifies its multidimensional impact mechanism by using a mediation effect model,and examines the spatial spillover effect by using a spatial Durbin model.According to the study,the establishment of NPCSSDA not only significantly improves the economic development level of tourism through three channels:cultural talents,cultural resources,and technological innovation,but also indirectly drives the tourism economic development of adjacent areas through spatial spillover effect.
