The provision of space services in libraries is an important initiative for service transformation and exploratory innovation of university libraries in the new period. The analysis of factors influencing the space service capacity can accurately discover the service bottlenecks and provide reference for the enhancement of service effectiveness. This paper extracts the influencing factors of space services through literature analysis and expert interviews, studies the dimensions of the influencing factors of space service capacity in university libraries through questionnaire survey. Finally, based on the results of the expert interviews,a hierarchical structure model of influencing factors of space services is constructed, including five dimensions and 21 influencing factor indicators of space service. The analytic hierarchy process is used to calculate the weights of the indicators at each level and to complete the consistency test. The study finds that among the influencing factors, the weights of equipment and facilities rank first followed by service implementation and space management in sequence, and the relative weights of the indicators at each level directly related to meeting the needs of users are higher.Based on the weights of the influencing factor indicators, the core indicators are extracted, and countermeasures and suggestions are put forward in four aspects:technological leadership,demand-driven,institutional guarantee, and feedback evaluation, with a view to providing decision-making suggestions for enhancing the space service capacity of university libraries.
