Digital resources are the cornerstone of library services,and their long-term localized preservation and sustainable effective utilization have received high attention.This article selects the world-class academic libraries ranked in the top 10 by U.S.News for case study and analysis.Based on grasping their strategic directions and policy essentials for digital preservation and services,the article focuses on examining and summarizing the experiences of the foreign academic libraries for their localized preservation and service practices of various types of resources,including commercial digital resources,digital special collections,research data resources.It is recommended that Chinese academic libraries learn from foreign practical experience in aspects such as creating a favorable environment for digital resources construction,focusing on mainstream localized preservation strategies,enhancing user-centered service experience,and building an open data resource guarantee system,so as to continuously promote the localized preservation and service innovation of digital resources.
