Research progress of purification process for coal tar pitch
Coal tar pitch is the residue obtained from the distillation of coal tar.It must be purified to remove the quinoline insoluble material owing to the complex composition when it is used as a raw material for high quality carbon materials.In this paper,from the na-ture of coal tar pitch and its contained quinoline insoluble matter,the current main purification processes of coal tar pitch are reviewed,and the purification effect of coal tar pitch according to the different purification process is analysed.Combined with the advantages and disadvantages of the different processes,the future development for coal tar pitch purification process is prospected.
