Preparation and properties of acrylate oil-absorbing resin modified by carbon microspheres
This paper introduces a new type of carbon microsphere for composite modification of acrylic resin to enhance its oil absorp-tion ability.Specifically, the composite oil absorption resin was successfully prepared by using isooctyl methacrylate(EHMA)and octa-decyl polyacrylate(SMA)as functional monomer, styrene(ST)as rigid monomer, and introducing carbon microsphere in the suspen-sion polymerization process.Structure and oil absorption performance of the synthesized composite oil absorption resin were conducted. The results show that the composite oil absorbing resin exhibits a good combination of carbon microsphere and resin, and the oil absorp-tion performance is significantly improved compared to the absence of carbon microsphere. The saturated oil absorption rates of compos-ite oil absorption resin for diesel, kerosene, and gasoline are 18.214,17.421,15.124 g/g,respectively,which are increased by 17.4%,25.1%,and 23.2%,respectively,compared to the oil absorption resin without carbon microsphere. The separation rates for diesel,kero-sene,and gasoline are 68.2%,95.6%,and 96.3%,respectively,which have good recyclability and good application prospects.
