Abstract
Before the formal establishment of the kingdom separatist regime of Wu state,in order to maintain the effective rule of the Jianghuai separatist region,Yang Xingmi,with the assistance of Li Yan,established the Eastern Xingying(Field Headquarters)Command System which is both military and political in attribute.Under this system,Yang Xingmi issued military orders and appointed officials as Eastern Xingying(Field Headquarters)Commander.However,as a system that appeared in the late Tang Dynasty,it lacks an effective power inheritance mechanism.At the same time,the system built on the authority of the Tang Dynasty can neither meet the expanding need of centralization within the Yang Xingmi's group nor meet the pursuit of power by Xu Wen.Under the operation of Xu Wen,Yang Longyan gradually abandoned this system and established a real separate regime after the change of Zhu Jin.
