Abstract
This paper introduces Yuanhe Xingzuan(《元和姓纂》)into the discussion of Dunhuang documents BD08679.With the help of the arrangement characteristics of the prefecture location in Yuanhe Xingzuan,this paper discusses the prefecture location recorded in Dunhuang document BD08679 of the national library of China.By comparing BD08679 with Yuanhe Xingzuan compilation,BD08679 records the original prefecture location,but it does not reflect the situation of the prefecture location in the early Tang Dynasty.
