Abstract
The compilation of the Palace City content of the Dongjing volume of Xu Song's Tang Liangjing Chengfang Kao,is based on the Henan Zhi extracted from the Yongle Dadian(《永乐大典》).In addition to this,Chengfang Kao also adjusted the specific location and content composition of the Palace City in the volume while taking into account the evolution of the capital's architectural space.In the compilation of the specific content of Dongjing Palace City,in addition to the obvious characteristics of following the related volumes of Henan Zhi,there are also intentional omissions of the original content,modification of the original text,improper examination and omission of important historical materials in other volumes of Henan Zhi.Taking the Palace City as an example to examine the way the Dongjing volume of Chengfang Kao was written,we can not only further clarify the relationship between the book and Henan Zhi,but also provide the more objective understanding of the value of Chengfang Kao in historical materials.
