Analysis of Key Needs in Knowledge Service of Science and Technology Think Tanks:An Exploratory Research Based on Grounded Theory
[Purpose/Significance]Analyzing the key needs in knowledge service of science and technology think tanks is conducive to optimizing the allocation of resources by external institutions, providing more efficient and accurate services, and constructing and improving the knowledge service guarantee system of science and technology think tanks scientifically and objectively.[Method/Process]Through semi-structured interview and grounded theory, the paper explored the content, types and characteristics of the needs of science and technology think tanks, and obtained 100 initial concepts,23 categories and 7 main categories.Based on it,the paper gradually refined the MCRT theoretical analysis framework for the needs of science and technology think tanks, and further analyzed the formation and management mechanism, the correlation mechanism between each main category and its effect on the service process, with the case explanation.[Result/Conclusion]User needs and self-development can trigger the need of science and technology think tanks according to the four-stage needs management mech-anism of"stimulation-generation-evaluation-matching".The needs includes four dimensions:material resources, intelligent collaboration, user needs and self-characteristics.Each dimension is closely related and work together in the process of knowledge service. The transmission, sharing and orderly circulation of material resources can activate intelligent collaboration and optimize self-characteristics.Intelligent collaboration can analyze and judge material resources and their products, and can also intervene in the production of needs.User needs can make the construction of material resources more targeted, and can also drive think tanks to improve self-characteristics.The self-characteristics can orderly manage user needs, and also explore the efficient integration and application mecha-nism of material resources, and finally improve the overall efficiency of service products.
