Practice of User Demand-Oriented Interdisciplinary Information Navigation Construction:A Case Study of the Dual Carbon Information Navigation in Tsinghua University Library
[Purpose/Significance]For the significant impact of climate change on human society, more and more countries are elevating"dual carbon"(carbon peaking and carbon neutrality)to the level of national strategies.Dual carbon technology is an emerging and rapidly developing interdisciplinary field with fast information update and rela-tively dispersed information sources, which makes it extremely difficult for users to obtain comprehensive and accurate information.Taking the area of"dual carbon"as an example, this paper explores ways for libraries to build one-stop,all-around,and multi-level information navigation, deepen interdisciplinary services and better serve the country's major development strategies.[Method/Process]After investigating the needs of the relevant faculty and staff, the paper delved into and effectively integrated all kinds of professional information resources based on abundant collection resources in Tsinghua University library, and established the information navigation on dual carbon research by LibGuides.[Result/Conclusion]From the experience of the"dual carbon"navigation construction,it summarizes the way to further deepen navigation services in interdisciplinary, frontier and challenging fields, which includes transforming users'roles, engaging users'participation, combining the new and traditional technology to ensure promptness, effectiveness and accuracy of navigation, improving the quality of platform services and synergizing knowledge services.
