A Phased Observation on Reading Promoting Effect of"Double Reduction"Policy in Compulsory Education
[Purpose/Significance]Starting from the"double reduction"policy, the paper explores the effect of education policy on students'reading.[Method/Process]This paper studies the relationship between"double reduction"and"reading".After the first teaching cycle completion of the"double reduction"policy, through reading data, planning texts, stakeholder surveys and other multiple perspectives,it discussed the changes of the primary and middle school students'reading behavior in the compulsory education stage, and the promotion of teenagers'reading and parent-child reading in family.[Result/Conclusion]It finds that,in terms of reading cog-nition,the influence of"double reduction"policy on the subjects related to basic education can be observed from certain perspectives to a certain extent. In terms of reading behavior, objectively collected reading data fails to effectively prove the changes in reading behavior before and after the"double reduction"policy. However, the purposeful survey obviously reflects the increase of students'available reading time and reading opportunities. In terms of reading services, the growth of service volume has been proved from multiple perspectives, and the im-portance and visibility of primary and secondary school libraries in basic education have been enhanced. In terms of reading guarantee, more reading needs more powerful reading guarantee. The"double reduction"policy has promoted the two-way willingness of the integrated development of public cultural services and education, and the practical exploration and innovation of the themes of"library and school cooperation"and"family reading".
