Analysis of the Spatial Distribution Characteristics of Crops Based on"Shihuozhi"Classics
[Purpose/Significance]Exploring the associations of crop entity names in ancient Chinese classics can better understand the spatial agglomeration attributes of common crops at that time, and also promote the research on existing text information processing methods.[Method/Process]This paper adopt-ed Chinese information processing methods such as automatic text segmentation, entity tagging, and data mining to reveal the relationship between crops and location entities, and visualized them through visual network. With location quotient,Gini coefficient and other agglomeration measurement indicators,it com-prehensively analyzed the spatial distribution of crops in ancient Chinese classics.[Result/Conclusion]This article focuses on the spatial distribution characteristics of ancient Chinese crops in the context of the"shihuozhi",and expands the application scenarios of classical texts. The comprehensive use of modern information technology methods such as data mining, indicator evaluation and visualization, has improved the efficiency and effectiveness of data analysis for classical texts. From the perspective of computation-al humanities, the spatial distribution and agglomeration characteristics of ancient crops are analyzed and compared with existing research. The results can objectively reflect the actual regional distribution of an-cient Chinese crops. In the future,it can also make improvement by supplementing diverse historical data, summarizing disaster events and livelihoods measures.
