Interdisciplinary and Topic Preferences in Digital Humanities:A Cross-Dimensional Analysis Based on WoS
[Purpose/Significance]Digital humanities,as an emerging field,is in the ascendant in the aca-demic community.Analyzing the interdisciplinary and topic preferences can comprehensively understand and interpret digital humanities, which is conducive to its sustainable and healthy development.[Method/Process]Based on relevant literatures in digital humanities, this article started from two major baselines of discipline and topic, and used network science methods to analyze the interdisciplinary situation in the field for the deep under-standing of its basic situation. Then,it adopted the BERTopic model to identify research topics to obtain the dis-tribution and basic preferences of topics. On this basis,it integrated the disciplinary dimension and topic dimen-sion to conduct a cross-dimensional mining and analysis of digital humanities.[Result/Conclusion]The research results indicate that digital humanities include interdisciplinary intersections not only between digital technology disciplines and humanities disciplines but also among various humanities disciplines themselves. The research on digital humanities is not ubiquitous centralization, but has distinct core topics. The characteristics of different disciplines themselves affect their preferences for topics, and the complementarity between disciplines can open up new perspectives in humanities research. This study provides a deeper understanding and interpretation of digital humanities from the perspective of disciplines and themes,so it has positive significance for promoting the orderly and healthy development of digital humanities research and the effective implementation of national cultural digitization strategy.
