Thematic Hotspots and Evolutionary Trends in Digital Humanities:Based on the Analysis of the ADHO DH Conference Papers
[Purpose/Significance]With its strong inclusiveness and typical interdisciplinary nature,digital hu-manities has shown a vigorous development trend in recent years.Among the domestic and foreign digital human-ities conferences,the ADHO digital humanities conference is the one of the most prestigious one.This paper makes an overall analysis of the conference papers of ADHO from the time dimension to understand the development of digital humanities.[Method/Process]This article selects the ADHO DH conference as the research object,ana-lyzes the themes of previous conferences and the participation of scholars from various countries in the conference.Taking the conference papers from 2013 to 2023 as the research sample,it comprehensively uses word frequency analysis,co-word analysis,cluster analysis and social network analysis methods to explore the topic hot spots and evolutionary trends in the international digital humanities field in the past decades from the co-occurrence and tem-poral changes of keywords in conference papers.[Result/Conclusion]The results show that the five main research themes in the past decades include knowledge mining and analysis,LAM inter-agency cooperation,text encoding annotation and corpus,knowledge representation and knowledge organization,and visualization presentation.In the era of intelligence,digital humanities research from an international perspective shows the characteristics of cor-relation,openness and integration.New and old knowledge are connected,and subject areas merge with each other.Technology empowerment,especially the application of AI,LAM cooperation towards GLAMS,and mining of cul-tural resources with Chinese characteristics will be the future trend of digital humanities.
