[Purpose/Significance]Exploring the opportunities and challenges of library development in the open science era can provide reference for the healthy and sustainable development of librarianship.[Method/Process]Through the scoping review,this paper retrieved 72 source literatures from domestic and foreign data-bases,and adopted the cluster analysis to summarize the opportunities and challenges of library development in the open science era.[Result/Conclusion]It finds that open science is profoundly affecting library science and librarianship,creating new opportunities for development,and constantly promoting the innovation of the role of libraries and librarians,library services,academic communication methods,and academic evaluation methods.It brings many new challenges to library open science policies,library information resource construction,library services,library management,and core competencies of librarians.Libraries need to seize the new development opportunities,embrace open science and meet its challenges,and constantly promote the development of librar-ies in the open science era.
