Research on the Impact Mechanism of Digital Economy on the Development of Open Economy
Based on China's inter-provincial panel data from 2011 to 2020,an open economy development level evaluation index system is constructed from the five dimensions of open foundation,openness,open struc-ture,open efficiency and open potential,and the open economy development level of 31 provinces in different years is measured.The impact of digital economy on the development level of open economy is empirically ex-amined by adopting econometric methods such as two-way fixed effect model,mediation effect model and threshold effect model.The study shows that:the digital economy can significantly promote the development of open economy;the digital economy can promote the development of open economy through technological inno-vation;the impact of the digital economy on the development of open economy is nonlinear;the impact of the digital economy on the open economy shows regional heterogeneity,and there is a significant promotional effect on the development of the open economy in the eastern and central regions,and the promotional effect in the central region is the strongest,while the promotional effect in the western region is not significant.The promo-tion effect is not significant in the western region.Therefore,promoting the development of digital economy and improving relevant policies and measures to accumulate new kinetic energy for the development of open economy will help to improve the development level of open economy.
