The Level of Communication Among the Governments of the Northwest Five Provinces and its Impact on the Effectiveness of Local Governance
The level of government communication is an important indicator of governance effectiveness,but it has long been neglected in the evaluation of governance effectiveness.The five provinces in the northwest have distinct regional features and important strategic positions,and their local government's communication level and governance effectiveness are particularly noteworthy.By constructing an evaluation framework for local govern-ment communication level and governance effectiveness and using the entropy weight method to measure and rank the 50 local governments in the northwest,this study explores the relationship between the two.The research found that the top ten in both scores were dominated by cities in Shaanxi Province;government communication level has a significant positive impact on governance effectiveness;and the heterogeneity analysis shows that the size of the ju-risdiction affects the enhancement of communication level on governance effectiveness.This study enriches the re-gional study of government communication and governance,providing theoretical support for the construction of governance evaluation frameworks and the optimization of governance strategies in the western region,thereby achieving regional coordinated development.
