Value Promotion of Public Library Social Education under the Construction of Chil-dren-friendly Cities
Social education of public libraries as an important component of China's education system,has shown a new role positioning and faced new opportunities for value enhancement under the advocacy of building a children friendly city.This paper identifies the current status of social education for children in public libraries,clarifies the role posi-tioning of social education of public libraries from the perspective of policies,and explores the value enhancement plan.This paper has found that public libraries should explore an operational mechanism led by the government,with coopera-tion between public libraries and schools,and multi subject participation.They should explore a"leading participation"model for a wide audience,a"regional alliance"model for specific regions,a"division of labor cooperation"model for specific groups,and a"platform cooperation"model for vertical fields.They should also create an interactive and three-dimensional public library social education system,establish a coordinated and interconnected public library social education system.
