Current Status and Enlightenment of Digital Humanities Librarians in American University Libraries
The digital humanities of American university libraries has formed a relatively mature and distinctive service system.Exploring the current situation of their digital humanities librarians can provide reference for university libraries in China.This paper adopts the methods of literature survey and network survey,takes the profile of digital humanities librarians in 17 American university libraries as the research object,analyzes the content from the four dimensions of digital humanities librarians'composition,posts,functions,education and training,and summarizes their characteristics.The exploration of the practice of digital humanities librarians in American university libraries can provide the following enlightenment for digital humanities librarians in Chinese university libraries:we should pay attention to the construction of digital humanities librarians,build digital humanities service centers or platforms,and strengthen the education and training of digital humanities librarians.
