History and Future of Contemporary Comparative Library Science
From the aspects of translation work,basic theoretical research and applied research,this paper sorts out the development of comparative library science since the founding of the People's Republic of China in three stages:from 1949 to the end of the 1970 s,from the 1980 s to the end of the 20 th century,and since the new century.It is believed that the development of comparative library science has entered a rare period of historical opportunities,and the problems and difficulties encountered by comparative library science are a representation of the basic theoretical research of library science.In this regard,it is proposed to strengthen the basic theoretical research of comparative library science,improve the research method system,promote applied research,consolidate the research data base,attach importance to subject education and talent training,and build an academic exchange platform.
