A Study on the Reading Interest of Women in the Early Republic of China from the Perspective of Women's Newspapers and Periodicals:An Investigation Using Samples from Xiangyan Essays,Xiangyan Magazine,and Chinese Women's World
In the early Republic of China,women's newspapers and periodicals were important media for women's self-expression and social participation,and the book advertisements published in the newspapers and periodicals reconstructed women's reading space,which was a vivid reflection of the social changes in a specific historical period.Xiangyan Essays,Xiangyan Magazine,and Chinese Women's World are representative female newspapers and periodicals in the early Republic of China.This paper takes the book advertisements published by three female newspapers and periodicals as the research object,and interprets the background,content tendency,reading population,promotion strategy and other dimensions of book advertisements.On this basis,it explores the influence of book advertisements in female newspapers and periodicals on female reading in the early Republic of China,so as to provide reference for the development of contemporary book advertisements.
