Study on the Life,Contributions and Academic Achievements of Chen Hungshun
Chen Hungshun was a well-known figure in the Chinese library community in the 20th century,but his life and activities have rarely been studied.With this in mind,the article extensively explores the archives of Chen Hungshun collected by the Rockefeller Foundation,the publications of Columbia University,and Chen Hungshun's writings in both Chinese and English.The article firstly outlines Chen Hungshun's life,including his school experience at Yenching University and Columbia University's School of Library Service,and his work experience in Yenching University Library and Peking University's Library School,etc.Then it describes his contributions to library education and the promotion of exchanges between Chinese and American libraries.Finally,it discusses his achievements in library science and sinology.
