Research on the Deviation Between the Development of Library Industry and Library Science Education and Its Response Strategies
The rapid development of China's library industry and the decline of Librarians'professional identity exist at the same time,just like the"Riddle of Sphinx"of the library industry in the new era,which needs the library industry and academic circles to be highly vigilant and properly deal with.This paper describes and analyzes the phenomenon of librarian turnover in a provincial library in the western region of China in the past five years by using case analysis method.It introduces Training for Library Service to improve library science education and promote the development of American library industry.Starting from the two dimensions of library science education and library industry development,it explains the various manifestations and reasons for the disconnection between library science education and library industry development.The article argues that it is necessary to focus on the mission and responsibilities of the library industry,promote the development of the library industry and library science education,and form a benign situation in which library science education and library industry development spiral upward.Realizing the"three returns"of technology,humanities and reality in library science education,restoring the core value orientation of library science education,and clarifying its realization path are not only the fundamental solution to the deviation between library industry development and library science education,but also the core expectation of the library industry in the new era for the reform of library science education.
