Construction and Experience of Small Libraries in South Korea
The article analyzes the progress and successful experience of small libraries construction in South Korea in order to provide reference for the construction of grass-roots libraries in China.It sorts out the laws and regulations of small libraries,presents the development status of small libraries,and analyzes the three bright measures of small libraries:the private commissioning operation mode,the itinerant librarian program,and the professional training of operation personnel.It summarizes the construction experience of small libraries in South Korea:guarantee government financial input and sound tax policy support;implement laws and regulations and establish a multilevel evaluation system;enrich the way of social participation and construct an access and exit mechanism;produce a standard operation manual and strengthen the guidance of operation and management.
