Construction of Digital Special Collections in University Libraries from the Perspective of Information Ecology
From the perspective of information ecology,the article explores the components of the information ecosystem of digital special collections in university libraries and their interrelationships,constructs an information ecosystem model of digital special collections in university libraries,and takes the Bodleian Library of the University of Oxford as the object of empirical research to test the usability of the model in the construction and service of digital special collections in college libraries.The study shows that digital special collections information,digital special collections information people and digital special collections information internal and external environment can constitute a complete university library digital special collections information ecosystem.In the process of construction,we should plan the layout at the overall level,give full play to the main role of human beings,strengthen the collection and integration of information resources,and enhance the coordination of the information environment,so as to realize the high-quality development of digital special collections.
