A Study on the Linguistic Landscape and Fujian-Taiwan Identity of Qingjiao Village Based on Event Space Theory
Against the strategic backdrop of deepening cross-Straits integration and promoting rural revitalization,Fujian Province has been actively exploring the path of Fujian-Taiwan integrated development and rural revitalization. These efforts resulted in strengthening Fujian-Taiwan identity. As the main medium of official propaganda and folk voices in rural areas, linguistic landscape serves an important tool in constructing Fujian-Taiwan identity.Based on the Event Space theory, this study takes Qingjiao Village, the first Fujian-Taiwan ecological and cultural village in Chinese mainland,as a case study. It integrates architectural, anthropological, and linguistic perspectives to examine changes in the linguistic landscape of Qingjiao Village's clan culture, folk beliefs, and rural construction at the macro and micro levels throughout history. The analysis of the pathways and mechanisms through which the linguistic landscape of Qingjiao Village constructs Fujian-Taiwan identity reveals a multi-dimensional,multi-level,and progressive construction of historical, cultural, and ideal identities between Fujian and Taiwan.
