Beam Control Method for Broadband Phased Array Antenna Based on Channel Error Compensation
Due to the easy deviation of broadband phased array antenna beam direction, the main lobe frequency of the unit beam is relatively high. Therefore, this paper designs a broadband phased array antenna beam control method based on channel error compensation.First, the paper sets up the optimal array layout to calibrate and correct the phase and amplitude for each channel to compensate for differences between channels. Then,it accurately compensates for channel errors to determine the beam direction, establishes a broadband phased array antenna beam control model, optimizes beam shape and direction, and adjusts the excitation amplitude and phase of array elements in real time. Finally,it introduces subarray level delay and achieves beam control of broadband phased array antennas.Experimental results indicate that the broadband phased array antenna beam control method based on channel error compensation obtains a higher main lobe frequency of the unit beam than the comparative method, with the highest being 5.78GHz.As a result, the designed method performs better in controlling the main lobe frequency of the beam, with higher beam direction accuracy and stability.
