Flexible and stretchable strain sensors based on concentrated natural latex/carbon nanotube composite materials
In this paper,a simple,low-cost and industrialized method was used to prepare the composite by mixing the pre-vulcanized concentrated natural rubber latex and carbon nanotubes(CNTs)dispersion in the emulsion and casting. The study focused on the influence of CNTs content on the electrical, mechanical, and microstructure properties of composite materials, and examined the use of strain sensors for human motion monitoring. The results showed that the maximum conductivity of the composite material reached 56 S/m and the maximum elongation at break reached 800%.CNTs were successfully combined with NR in a network form.Strain sensors can provide visual monitoring of human finger and elbow movements.
