Effect of tensile rate on mechanical properties of natural rubber/organoclay composites
Natural rubber/organoclay composites(NRCNs)were prepared by 1.44P organic clay filled with natural rubber(NR),and the effect of tensile rate on the mechanical properties of NRCNs was investigated. The results show that under the uniaxial tensile test, when the tensile rate is 50 mm/min,the mechanical properties of NRCNs are the best, and the tensile strength reaches 19.50 MPa,which is 22.64%higher than that at the tensile rate of 500 mm/min.With the increase of the tensile rate, the crystallinity of NRCNs gradually decreased, indicating that the crystallization performance of NRCNs was better at the lower tensile rate.Under the multiaxial tensile test, the tensile strength of NRCNs was the best when the tensile strain was 120%and the tensile rate was 50 mm/min,and the tensile strength reached 0.38 MPa,which was 8.57%higher than that at the tensile rate of 10 mm/min.At the same tensile rate, the tensile strength of NRCNs with uniaxial tension was 0.8 MPa,and the tensile strength of NRCNs with multiaxial tension increased by 128.57%.
