Effect of substructure and mating system on low temperature resistance of EPDM
The conventional and low-temperature retraction properties of several different grades of EPDM were explored, and the effects of different ethylene and tertiary monomer contents on the comprehensive properties of EPDM were investigated. The effects of different plasticizers and vulcanization systems on the performance of EPDM were compared. The experimental results show that, under the peroxide vulcanization system, with the higher ENB content in the molecular structure of EPDM,the degree of vulcanization of rubber and the tensile strength increases gradually;the higher the ethylene content, the tensile elongation of the rubber increases.Under the experimental setting conditions,EPDM vulcanized by peroxide has better mechanical properties, and the sulfur vulcanization system can reduce the TR 10 of EPDM.Compared with paraffine 2280,TR10 of EPDM of paraffine 6010 is significantly reduced.
