Mechanical properties of SEBS elastomers filled with metal-organic framework
CuBTC,a metal-organic framework material, together with NH2-CuBTC with different amino loading, were used as fillers to modify different grades of hydrogenated polystyrene-butadiene-styrene triblock copolymer(SEBS)thermoplastic elastomers.Mechanical properties of the blends were studied. The results show that the tensile strength, elongation at break, hardness and energy storage modulus of SEBS thermoplastic elastomer can be improved with appropriate contents of CuBTC.NH2-CuBTC has greater advantages in improving the performance of SEBS thermoplastic elastomers. When SEBS 1654 was filled with 3%CuBTC-N2,the tensile strength increased from 24.6 MPa to 36.6 MPa by 49%,and the elongation at break increased from 643%to 725%by 13%.When SEBS 1901 was filled with 3%CuBTC-N2,the tensile strength increased from 26.5 MPa to 32.1 MPa by 21%,and the elongation at break increased from 512%to 561%by 10%.
