Preparation and damping properties of garnet microwave ferrite/butadiene rubber based elastomer
Polybutadiene based composite elastomer was prepared by using polybutadiene as matrix and garnet microwave ferrite as modified component. The structure and microscopic appearance of the composite elastomer were characterized, and the effects of the content of YIG garnet microwave ferrite and polybutadiene rubber on the properties of the composite elastomer were investigated. The results show that the content of YIG garnet microwave ferrite has a significant impact on mechanical properties, vulcanization properties, and damping properties. As its content increases, the tensile strength and shore hardness of the composite elastomer increase, the fracture elongation first increases and then decreases, the minimum and maximum vulcanization torque increase, the scorch time and vulcanization time decrease, and the tensile and compressive recovery force increase. The content of polybutadiene has a significant impact on the damping coefficient, and the maximum damping coefficient of the composite elastomer is positively correlated with the content of polybutadiene.
