The effect of different amounts of polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)powder on the performance of nitrile rubber(NBR)was studied. The results show that with the increase of the amount of PTFE powder, the mechanical strength of NBR first increases and then decreases, while the self-viscosity gradually decreases, and the friction coefficient first decreases and then increases. When the 6 parts of PTFE powder are added, the friction coefficient is the lowest, the dynamic and static friction coefficient are 0.33 and 0.57,respectively.And the surface contact angle of NBR adhesive before and after adding PTFE powder changes from less than 90 to greater than 90.That is,the surface of NBR adhesive changes from hydrophilic to hydrophobic. With the increase of the amount of PTFE powder, the contact angle of the surface of NBR adhesive first decreases and then increases. Moreover, the abrasion volume and permanent compression deformation gradually increase, and the increase trend is gradually flattening out when the amount is more than 6 parts.
