Thermal analysis technology is one of the main means to evaluate the thermal behavior of elastomer by comprehensively and deeply studying the physicochemical properties of elastomer through thermal analysis technology.In this paper,common thermal analysis methods including differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),thermomechanical analysis(TMA),dynamic thermomechanical analysis(DMA),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and hyphenated techniques of thermal analysis are introduced.The characteristics and advantages of thermal analysis techniques for characterization of elastomer materials are reviewed,and the application prospects of thermal analysis techniques are also prospected.
