Research progress on aging of cross-linked polyethylene for cable
The ageing type and condition detecting technologies of cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE)materials for cables concern the operation safety of electrical power systems.In this paper,the ageing methods,the main aging mechanism,the main factors affecting the aging and condition detecting technologies of XLPE for cable are introduced.The research progress on aging behavior of XLPE for cable in recent years is reviewed.
