Synthesis and properties of polyurethane elastomer based on NDI
The polyurethane elastomer was prepared by the method of pre-polymer based on 1,5-naphthalene diisocyanate(NDI)and polycaprolactone or polytetrahydrofuran.The effects of polyols,relative molecular weight,the content of—NCO and chain extender on the properties of polyurethane elastomer were studied.The results showed that polyurethane elastomer had better mechanical properties based on polycaprolactone than polytetrahydrofuran.The elongation at break of materials can be improved with the increase of relative molecular weight of polyols.The dynamic mechanical properties of elastomers improved with the content of—NCO increasing.Polyurethane elastomer with moderate crosslinking performed better properties.
