Effect of Retroauricular Flap in the Treatment of Refractory Preauricular Fistula in Children
Objective:To explore the feasibility of retroauricular flap in children with refractory preauricular fistula. Methods:A total of 52 children with refractory preauricular fistula admitted to our hospital from February 2021 to February 2023 were selected, and were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 52 cases in each group. The control group was treated with preauricular fistula resection by conventional operation, while the observation group was treated with retroauricular flap. The total treatment time, stage I healing rate and aesthetic satisfaction of the surgical area were compared between the two groups. Results:The preoperative, postoperative and total treatment time of the children in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);the stage I healing rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05);the aesthetic satisfaction of the surgical area in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with conventional resection and retroauricular flap, the retroauricular flap is more effective in shortening the total treatment time and improving stage I healing rate and aesthetics.
