Structural Model of Physical Education Teaching Competency of Early Childhood Teachers and Path to Improvement:A Qualitative Study Based on Rooted Theory
The structural model of competence in physical education teaching activities of early childhood teachers was explored by u-sing procedural rooted theory methodology,behavioral event interview method,and coding and analyzing the interview data with the help of NVivo 11.0.It was found that the components of early childhood teachers'competence in physical education teaching activi-ties include physical education teaching knowledge,physical education teaching ability,professional character and personal character-istics.Based on this,the paper proposes a path to improve the physical education competence of early childhood teachers from four aspects:strengthening continuing education to accumulate physical education knowledge;creating"work visits"to enhance teachers'physical education competence;setting assessment standards to establish good professional character;and utilizing internal and exter-nal synergies to create positive personal characteristics.
