Research on Surface Modification Treatment of Copper Alloy for Environmental Art Design
In order to improve the corrosion resistance of copper alloy used in environmental art and enhance their artistic appreciation, the surface of copper alloy used for environmental art design was modified, and the surface phase composition, surface morphology, salt spray corro-sion,weight loss corrosion and electrochemical corrosion properties of copper alloy were com-pared and analyzed under different processes of grinding, pickling, chromium free passivation and chromate passivation. The results show that the passivation film is formed on the surface of the copper alloy after chromium free passivation and chromate passivation treatment, and the dense passivation film is formed on the surface of the copper alloy after chromate passivation treatment. After salt spray corrosion, the surface corrosion degree of chromium free passivated and chromate passivated copper alloy will be relatively less than that of polished and pickled copper alloy.Un-der the same corrosion time, the order of corrosion weight loss from small to large is:chromate passivation state<chromium free passivation state<pickling state<polishing state. The corro-sion potential of chromium free passivation state and chromate passivation state copper alloy is corrected relative to that of polishing state and pickling state, and the corrosion current density is relatively small by an order of magnitude. The corrosion inhibition rates under the different processes of polishing, pickling, chromium free passivation and chromate passivation are 32.32%,51.66%,89.34%and 96.84%respectively.The corrosion resistance of copper alloy from large to small is:chromate passivation state>chromium free passivation state>pickling state>polishing state.
