This paper thoroughly investigates the application of Digital Twin technology in railway engineering supervision.Firstly,the basic principles and functionalities of digital twin technology are explained.Subsequently,the application of this technology in railway engineering supervision is discussed,specifically in the areas of virtual modeling,forecasting,and optimization.The benefits of this technology are further elucidated,including improved supervision accuracy,time and resource savings,and more,while also acknowledging the primary challenges faced such as technical complexity and data security.Finally,a perspective is provided on the future development of digital twin technology and its potential applications in railway engineering supervision.
