Analysis Method of Engineering Properties of Round Gravel Layer Foundation Based on In-situ Testing
In this paper,multiple sets of flat plate load tests are conducted on the Tianshui alluvial gravel layer,especially for the points where the drilling data showed good and poor engineering properties.The overall performance is that the final settlement of the gravel layer is small.After analysis,the test curve is incomplete and do not reflect the ultimate state.The bearing capacity of the foundation determined by this curve is too small,and the engineering properties of the gravel layer are not effectively utilized.The p-s curve calculated using the hyperbolic tangent modulus method is more complete and can accurately determine the ultimate bearing capacity pu.After calculation,the pu at the test point with a smaller number of drill bit tests can also reach 700 kPa,and the pu at the test point with a larger number of drill bit tests can reach 1 400 kPa.This is mainly related to the structural characteristics of the soil,which has been proven by the actual excavation profile.In addition,the p-s curve of load settlement under actual foundation size calculated by the tangent modulus method is highly consistent with the monitoring data,indicating the reliability of the analysis method.The analysis method accurately and efficiently determines the bearing capacity and final settlement of the gravel layer foundation.
