Research on the Influence of Environmental Temperature on Cable Force of Cable-stayed Bridges
This study used the finite element software Midas Civil to construct a detailed model of a single tower double cable plane cable-stayed bridge.Taking the Suotongpo Yellow River Extra-large Bridge as a case study, the changes in cable force of the cable-stayed bridge under environmental temperature changes are explored.Through simulation analysis,it can be concluded that as the temperature increases, the cable force of the inclined cable will also decrease;on the contrary,a decrease in temperature will increase the cable force. This discovery provides a scientific basis for the design and construction of cable-stayed bridges, especially in considering temperature effects. In addition, the study emphasizes the importance of temperature monitoring in maintaining the safety of cable-stayed bridge structures, and suggests strengthening real-time monitoring of environmental temperature changes in bridge management,to prevent potential structural problems caused by temperature changes. This study not only deepens the understanding of temperature sensitivity of cable-stayed bridges, but also provides important reference materials and practical guidance for the field of bridge engineering.
