This study delves into the competitive dynamics and trends in winter sports among China,Japan,and South Korea,set against the backdrop of the 9th Asian Winter Games hosted by Harbin,China in 2025.Focusing on the performance and award distribution over the last five Winter Olympics and the recent three Asian Winter Games,the study employs methods such as literature review,mathematical statistics,and logical analysis.Key findings include:1)China,Japan,and South Korea consistently demonstrate the strongest athletic prowess among major winter sports nations in Asia,consistently ranking in the top three at both the Winter Olympics and Asian Winter Games.2)Over the last five Winter Olympics,China displayed the strongest athletic performance,followed by South Korea and Japan.3)In the past three years of the Asian Winter Games,Japan exhibited the strongest athletic prowess,followed by China and South Korea.The distribution of strengths and weaknesses in winter sports among China,Japan,and South Korea shows both overlaps and differences.Key recommendations include strengthening top-level planning for China's preparations for the Asian Winter Games,understanding the rules of ice and snow events,consolidating strengths,expanding potential strengths,and integrating training and competition for optimal results.
