A Comprehensive Analysis of China's Women's Curling Team Performance during the"Beijing Quadrennium"and Preparation Strategic Insights for the"Milan Quadrennium"
This study employs research methods such as literature review,Dartfish sports video analysis, and mathematical statistics to retrospectively assess the competitive dynamics of China's Women's Curling Team throughout the"Beijing Quadrennium."Findings indicate notable shortcomings during this period, including a lack of comprehensive technical proficiency, insufficient ability to resolve multiple stone scenarios with a single shot,a reliance on singular tactical approaches, limited capacity to navigate complex situations,an underdeveloped psychological resilience during major competitions, and training challenges leading to on-court inconsistencies, referred to as the"Clarke"phenomenon.Building upon insights from the"Beijing Quadrennium,"this paper proposes strategic preparations for the"Milan Quadrennium":(1)prioritizing physical fitness through the introduction of the"4T"training philosophy to explore innovative approaches;(2)enhancing specialized foundational skill training to elevate stone delivery and hitting success rates;(3)implementing rigorous team management practices and challenging conventional thinking;(4)emphasizing communication and teamwork, with a focus on reviewing and providing feedback on training matches. The objective is to offer theoretical guidance for curling coaches and support staff, providing valuable considerations for the preparation of China's Women's Curling Team for the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics.
